Treatments & Services
I maintain a general naturopathic family practice. My goal is to promote and inspire health to individuals and families in simple and effective ways. In my years of clinical experience, I have treated many of the following conditions: pediatric cases, women's health conditions, endocrine disorders, hormonal imbalances, fertility, pregnancy, digestive complaints, mood disorders, skin conditions, immune support, headaches/migraines, stress and weight management.
My treatment plans are created for the individual, and have a focus on nutrition, supplements, botanicals, homeopathy and acupuncture, and lifestyle counseling. I take the time to listen to my patients, taking a full case history and working with each person's specific needs.
Naturopathic medicine, acupuncture treatments, and birth doula services are covered by most extended healthcare plans.
Rachel has been attending births since 2002 and has helped over 300 families welcome their babies into this world. She has first hand experience with naturopathic doula care, having used this support with the births of her 3 children, all born at home under the care of midwives.
Rachel was doula trained through ALACE (now called toLabor), in 2003 in Boston, Massachusetts. She apprenticed directly with a midwife in Drayton, Ontario in 2004 where she worked in a clinical setting and attended multiple home and hospital births. She was fortunate to have had the opportunity in 2011 to be educated, by the leader of natural birth, Ina May Gaskin.
She believes that all women have the potential to birth naturally and strives to help those birthing (and partners) reach their desired plan.
